Singers Wanted!! Come and join us
The Valentines are currently looking for new singers to join their lower range voice sections. If you are an alto or think you may be, then we would love you to come along and join us at one of our rehearsals at Offmore Church Grays Close off Tennyson Way, Offmore, Kidderminster on Thursdays from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. Contact our secretary Jenny on 07825599740 or use our contact us page, or just pop along one evening, you will receive a warm welcome from us!
Happy Valentines Day
Once again The Valentines played host last Saturday at Kidderminster Town Hall for their annual Valentines concert, and their special guests this year were Worcester Male Voice Choir.
With a varied repertoire by both choirs and a first outing for two new numbers by the Valentines (Happy and Feed the Birds) an appreciative audience enjoyed a superb evening of music.

Are you interested in joining a friendly local choir? We are looking to recruit enthusiastic singers who are able to commit to regular Thursday rehearsals and concert performances.
Being able to read music is an advantage but not essential.

Singing about animals.. with a cat like tread..
Saturday night saw St Mary’s Church in Kidderminster filled with the combined voices of the Valentines and their guests the Mendip Male Voice Choir. The men chose a varied programme enhanced by the beautiful voice of their resident soprano Hannah Drury, but with a common thread – MD Jamie told us there was the name of an animal hidden in every song somewhere, although we did have to listen hard for some of them and perhaps some of them were a little tenuous??!! What a fabulous night we had, and we look forward to visiting the men on their home turf soon!
The hills are alive with the sound of music….
The sound of the Mendip hills arrives in Kidderminster next Saturday (10th October) when the Valentines welcome the Mendip Male Voice Choir to St Mary’s Church Kidderminster for a joint Autumn concert. Singing since 1919 the men have a varied repertoire and we anticipate a wonderful evening of music to fill this historic church.
The concert starts at 7.30, tickets from the choir and on the door. We look forward to seeing you there!
Valentines On Tour – Swansea
So another Summer Tour has come to an end and once again a fabulous time was had by all as we visited beautiful South Wales. Visits to Mumbles, Langland Beach, Rhossilli, The Gower Heritage Centre and The National Botanic Garden of Wales, and of course a spot of singing too!
We had two wonderful concerts with Swansea Male Choir and The Phoenix Choir, and the afterglow get to togethers post concert were some of the best we have ever had. Thank you gentlemen for your hospitality and we hope to see you here in Worcestershire before very long!

Swansea here come the Valentines….
Croeso!
So only a week to go until the Ladies head south to Swansea for our Summer tour! We have been working hard on new repertoire and brushing up on a few older pieces and dusting off our buckets and spades and sunhats!
We are looking forward to singing with old friends and new from Swansea Male Voice Choir and the Phoenix Choir, and of course joining together for the after concert get togethers!
We will be taking some time out for some sightseeing around Mumbles, Langlands Bay and Rossilli, as well as visits to the Gower Heritage Centre and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales where we will be singing for our lunch outside their restaurant!

Sopranos wanted….
Are you a Soprano? are you looking for a friendly choir to sing with? we are actively looking for new sopranos to join our choir, being able to read music an advantage but not essential. If you are interested please email us or send us a message with your contact details.
Summer Tour
The Valentines are busy rehearsing new music for their summer tour of Swansea in July. We will be joining two local choirs while we are there for concerts on the Friday and Saturday nights. Please come along and join us if you are in the area!
