Many of you will know that the Valentines have been holding online rehearsals via Zoom during the last year due to the pandemic.

We are pleased to announce that after having our hopes dashed in May, physical rehearsals will resume on July 22nd with small groups socially distanced, supported for a while by a continuation of our online practice.

We are looking forward to getting back to regular singing together without the need for a ‘mute’ button, and preparing for our next concert.

We already have some provisional concert dates pencilled in so please pop them into your diary. More information about how to obtain tickets will be shared via our website and social media pages nearer the time.

Provisional dates so far:

Saturday 13th November 2021 Kidderminster Town Hall

Saturday 4th December 2021 At Anne’s church Bewdley

Saturday 9th April 2022 Kidderminster Town Hall

We are also opening the choir to new members. If you would like to join us, whether you are new to singing or would like to start singing again, then please get in touch. All our details can be found on our website.

Wyre Forest Community Lottery

Our choir has decided to join the Wyre Forest Community Lottery.

Wyre Forest Community Lottery is a weekly online lottery. All funds raised go to good causes that benefit the local communities in the area of Wyre Forest.

It is a weekly online lottery. The draw takes place every Saturday night at 8pm. Each ticket costs £1 per week and consists of six numbers. The more numbers you match in a draw the bigger the prize you win. Players choose who their ticket purchase will support. They can either support the Central Fund, funds are then distributed to the local community by a committee, or they can choose a specific good cause to support, one of which is the Kidderminster Valentines which we hope you will choose.

Players are notified by email when they win. To claim their winnings, they log in to the Wyre Forest Community Lottery site and choose to either have the winnings paid directly into their nominated account or donate their winnings back to the good cause.

How does the £1 (each ticket) get spent? 60% from every ticket sold goes directly to good causes, 50p to us and 10p to other causes. The remaining 40p goes towards admin and prize money.

What are the prizes? Matching numbers: You must match the first or last 2-6 numbers in a row to win. Match 6 Prize £25,000 Match 5 Prize £2,000 Match 4 Prize £250 Match 3 Prize £25  Match 2 Prize 3 tickets.

You may wish to buy a ticket yourself or promote to your family and friends in the knowledge you will be supporting the choir.

Christmas is coming…..

After a busy autumn singing for the WI at The Three counties Showground, and at Pershore Abbey with the Alcester Victoria Silver Band we are now on the countdown to the Christmas season.

On Saturday 7th December we will be joining the annual Kemp Hospice Carol Service at Kidderminster Town Hall which starts at 11am, and then we are honoured to once again join our fellow choristers of Kidderminster Male Choir at their annual concert on Saturday 14th December, again at the Town Hall.

We already have concerts planned for 2020 including next Christmas, so pop over to our events page and get the dates in your diary.

Valentines Summer Concert
